MEP: Critical Systems That Drive Success
The mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems engineered into a project are often largely invisible but always critical. McGough takes special pride in the breadth and depth of experience on our Engineered Systems team, which is called in to help ensure the success of projects across sectors and industries. Our experts are the bridge between engineers, designers, owners, and subcontractors, and they are involved every step of the way – from specification to closeout.
A Comprehensive Approach to Value Engineering
McGough has a reputation for helping our clients get the most out of their facilities. We focus on both the quality of the work and on value optimization – closely examining the purpose and cost of every part of the project and finding the most efficient way to achieve the owner’s goals. Sometimes it means recommending a more economical solution; other times it may involve redesigning a system to be more robust so it can handle the load placed on it. In every case, the expert eyes of McGough’s team help ensure a project’s success.
PRECONSTRUCTION
Our experts sit in on planning and specifications, going over plans to identify challenges and opportunities, recommending equipment, aiding in procurement, and review of installation logistics and maintenance.
CONSTRUCTION
McGough’s Engineered Systems team supports subcontractors and ensures work is done in a timely, high-quality manner, and help with sequencing and phasing as needed.
CLOSEOUT
As projects near completion, the McGough’s MEP experts ensure the equipment and systems are meeting the performance and operational goals of the project. They confirm the documentation is complete and assist in startup, closeout and turn-over.
