MEP: Critical Systems That Drive Success

The mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems engineered into a project are often largely invisible but always critical. McGough takes special pride in the breadth and depth of experience on our Engineered Systems team, which is called in to help ensure the success of projects across sectors and industries. Our experts are the bridge between engineers, designers, owners, and subcontractors, and they are involved every step of the way – from specification to closeout.

Key Industries for Engineered Systems

A Comprehensive Approach to Value Engineering

McGough has a reputation for helping our clients get the most out of their facilities. We focus on both the quality of the work and on value optimization – closely examining the purpose and cost of every part of the project and finding the most efficient way to achieve the owner’s goals. Sometimes it means recommending a more economical solution; other times it may involve redesigning a system to be more robust so it can handle the load placed on it. In every case, the expert eyes of McGough’s team help ensure a project’s success.

A Solution that Saved a Million Dollars

On one of McGough’s major healthcare projects, the Engineered Systems team was tasked with providing a comprehensive review of the chiller plant design. By changing the parameters of the project, considering the maintenance needs, and finding additional equipment and system efficiencies, McGough was able to secure close to a million dollars in rebates for the Client in addition to ensuring improved long term future operational saving.
