The One Stop building will be a 283,000 SF structure located at Dawley Farm Village in Sioux Falls. It will house up to 16 state agencies, which were previously located at various places around the city. Agencies include the Bureau of Administration, Bureau of Human Resources, Bureau of Information and Telecommunications, Department of Corrections, Department of Education, Department of Health, Department of Human Services, Department of Labor and Regulation, Department of Public Safety, Department of Revenue, and Department of Social Services.
More than 650 state employees are expected to work in the new building and the City of Sioux Falls, and the project team is collaborating to provide seamless access to public transportation for clients served by the state agencies.
Currently under construction, the groundbreaking for this project took place on Tuesday, September 25, 2023. This building is being developed by Dream Design International, who also developed the Rapid City One Stop which opened in 2022. CO-OP Architecture is the project architect and McGough is serving as the Construction Manager at Risk.
The agencies and their employees are expected to begin moving into the building in mid-2025.
