The McGough team led various plant expansions upgrading in the existing facility located in Winthrop, MN from 40 MMGPY to approximately 120 MMGPY, including several field erected cooling towers, new distillation and evaporation units, new DDG drying system with Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer. Additional systems implemented included interplant conveyance system, expanded fermentation capacity, increased cook capacity, new centrifuges, medium voltage distribution system, a 5.5MW solar combustion turbine and heat recovery steam generator combined heat and power facility, and rail expansion.
