On October 25th, the McGough brothers were inducted into the Minnesota Real Estate Hall of Fame by the Shenehon Center for Real Estate at the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business
For nearly 15 years, the Shenehon Center has been proudly recognizing outstanding industry leaders who have made a lasting impact on both the real estate sector and their communities. This prestigious award honors these exceptional individuals for their unwavering dedication to innovation, ethics, and excellence. Through their visionary leadership, they have not only shaped the future of real estate but also set a standard of integrity and service that inspires others to elevate the industry and give back to the communities they serve.
The McGough family are six-generation builders, and the family legacy plays a huge part in this tremendous recognition. The McGough brothers laid the foundation of collaboration, integrity, and craftsmanship decades ago and have now since become one of the largest and most admired construction firms in Minnesota.
” I think they (McGough Brothers) would be very proud that this idea that they had, years and years ago to go into business with each other — with the idea they had that there was a better way to do construction, and it has come to this.” says Tom Nonnemacher, a member of the McGough family. “We’re a national company now and we can take this culture on the road.”
“They’re incredibly amazing individuals… for six brothers to get together and build a company from a small entity to where it is today, really is an amazing feat,” says Collen McGough, daughter of Tom McGough Sr. “Their love and care for each other and their commitment to hard work and being generous and wonderful individuals, I think probably got them to where they are today and I respect them immensely.”
This award is an incredible testament to the McGough values and ethics that have shaped their journey and provide an excellent framework for the generations to come.
