McGough is excited to announce that we have been named General Contractor of the Year by the University of Minnesota’s Supplier Diversity Office as part of their Awards, Incentive, and Recognition (AIR) program. This honor recognizes our continued dedication to promoting supplier diversity and workforce inclusion, both in our work with the University and across all of our projects.
For over six decades, McGough has strongly advocated for diverse and women-owned businesses. Our long-standing partnerships show that diversity isn’t just a target, but a core value of how we conduct business. One of those valued partnerships is with Moltron Builders, with whom we recently collaborated on a parking lot restoration project for the University. Moltron Builders was also honored with a Stellar Award for Targeted Group Businesses this year as part of the AIR program. We congratulate them on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to continuing our successful partnership.
Jim Houston, Director of Diversity and Inclusion at McGough, highlighted the importance of this recognition. “Receiving this award from the University of Minnesota’s Supplier Diversity Office is truly meaningful, and it reflects the critical role diversity plays in the construction industry. At McGough, we believe that building an inclusive environment strengthens our teams, our business operations, and the communities we work in. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of our teams and the strong relationships we’ve developed with our vendors. They’ve been essential to this success.”
McGough remains committed to advancing diversity and inclusion through impactful partnerships and capacity-building programs that create opportunities for diverse businesses. We are honored by this recognition and look forward to continuing to set a standard for our industry.
