This project will renovate approximately 34,000 gross square feet (GSF), of the 2nd floor of the Science Research Building (SRB) on the UNT campus in Denton, Texas. This renovation will include the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades and modifications, along with interior finishes and general laboratory equipment, needed to provide the 2nd floor with open-concept research laboratories and support space similar to that of the existing 1st floor. The project will replace the existing roof, improve the crawlspace drainage and cross ventilation, and address any finish corrections needed at the 2nd-floor corridors. Mechanical equipment serving the existing animal facility will need to be upgraded and/or replaced as well.
