This project consists of a combined heat and power expansion into the existing plant utility system. A key factor to the success of this project is hinged upon the integration of an existing plant utilities system into the new system.
This project includes a Solar Turbines 5.5MW combustion turbine with heat recovery steam generator and a supplemental fired duct burner creating an additional 150,000 lb/hr of steam. A new packaged boiler was also installed to generate an additional 86,250 lb/hr of steam. Project was executed alongside existing plant operations with key outages coordinated to facilitate no unplanned production outages.
